In 2005 I graduated from Villanova University with a political science degree, a love for design and marketing, and a communications job at a wealth management firm – on paper it didn’t quite make sense.
The untraditional path that I travelled has provided a wide variety of valuable experiences and skills.
I’ve always been passionate about art and design, and spend a lot of my free time creating and building. In 2007 I decided to pursue my love of graphic design, color and typography, and enrolled in Moore College of Art and Design’s Digital Media certificate program. The Digital Media program provided me with a foundation in graphic design principles as well as a strong working knowledge of the entire Adobe creative suite. I use InDesign CS3, Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS3 on a daily basis.
In 2009 I enrolled in an Interior Decorating class at Philadelphia University in 2009 to explore another area of interest, interior design. Both programs have helped to affirm that a career in creative services and design is the right fit for my personality and abilities – it is something that I love and am very good at.
